A brief discussion of wonderful properties and uses of crystals in our lives.
When we imagine something clear and transparent, beautiful and sublime, what comes to mind? One short word: Crystals. No wonder that it’s all this pristineness that has gotten crystals recent fame and acknowledgement amongst many American youth and celebrities, who are loudly and openly vouching for how much these crystalline rocks mean in their lives. Likewise, their value has remained strong in the economy even when the use of other precious gems such as diamonds has been hit around 20% during the recent pandemic. So let’s delve straight into this craze that is being called the magna carta of alternative therapies.
Crystal healing is a type of alternative therapy that involves using these rocks to bring balance to an individual’s life and mind. So how do these work?Just like everything else in the universe, we each have our own unique vibrational frequency. People with higher vibrations radiate kindness, love, peace, and compassion, whereas people with lower vibrations experience more low-vibe emotions like jealousy, anxiety, anger, or fear.
Whatever frequency you’re at, as a human, your vibration is very unstable and very easily influenced. It changes constantly as we’re exposed to other people, social media, the news, traffic, the weather, good news, bad news, our own memories, etc.
Crystals, on the other hand, have a super stable energy frequency that doesn’t change. Why? They’re made up of a fixed, regularly repeating, perfect geometric pattern of molecules. And they maintain their perfect stability with no effort. Exactly the opposite of our constantly changing, non-stable human nature.
These pure elements, having been intensified naturally, influence us by interacting with the subtle energetic-body and refracts our energy back to us in a different way – just as a crystal breaks down light into rainbow colors. So in effect, crystals help us to access what we already have. They act as energy purifiers and amplifiers.
Crystals are said to “have a stable and unchanging energy pattern, each with a unique frequency and energy field, or resonance” that gives them special properties, explains Judy Hall, in her work, The Little Book of Crystals. As a result, “they act like tuning forks,” helping bring “harmony” to the “very unstable energy field of the human body”.
More often than not, the emotional distress that we encounter in our personal lives can be linked to a certain chakra; chakra is an ancient meditation practice and originates from an old Sanskrit word, translating to ‘wheel’. And this represents the 7 different zones around your body, with 7 different centres of energy.
Although this spiritual tradition of states of energy manifest in various forms in various cultures such as the Tibetan Buddhist tummo, or inner fire, the Chrisitian Holy Spirity, the Chinese Martial Arts and Healing Arts Chi, and the num of African tribal dacers and healers, the system of chakras to represent our’s body’s vibrational centres and their connection to our emotional states is easy to understand. So I will use it to demonstrate which crystals can balance which energies in our bodies, alleviate our stresses and can help each of us to feel better in our lives:
